JOB DESCRIPTION
A warm and welcoming family based in Dun Laoghaire, Co, Dublin are looking for a kind, caring and reliable nanny to join their family and care for their two lovely children aged 4½ years and 12 months. Both parents work full-time, and the position is Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 8:00am – 7:00pm, 33 hours per week
The family are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and who can provide a safe, happy, nurturing and stimulating environment for both Children.
Duties
The role will primarily involve nursery duties related to the children, including:
- Providing attentive, age-appropriate care
- Preparing meals and snacks for the children
- Feeding and supporting the baby’s routine
- Organising age-appropriate activities, play and outings
- School/nursery-related duties as required
- Children’s laundry and keeping their areas tidy and organised
- Maintaining the children’s daily routines
- Supporting the children’s development and wellbeing
- General childcare-related tidying and organisation
Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous professional childcare/nanny experience
- Be caring, responsible, proactive and dependable
- Be confident caring for both a preschool-aged child and a young baby
- Be a non-smoker
- Have good cooking skills, particularly for preparing healthy meals for children
- Have a genuine interest in children and their development
- Be happy to become a valued and trusted member of the household
A full driving licence and access to a car would be a bonus.
The family has no pets.
