JOB DESCRIPTION
Professional Family based in Monkstown, Co. Dublin are looking for an Experienced Nanny Live Out to care for their 2 children aged 8.5 and 5.5 years old. This is a Full-Time position Monday – Friday from 12pm until 7pm (35 hours per week). The nanny will be required to work full time hours during the school holidays and when the children are sick.
Start date is September 20206.
This position is sole charge; both parents work full time.
The nanny will be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-organised environment within the children’s areas and shared family spaces, including the kitchen and family room. This includes daily tidying, organising toys, books, and school materials, and ensuring these areas remain safe, hygienic, and welcoming for the children.
Nursery duties relating to the two children will include managing their laundry (washing, drying, folding, and ironing as required), keeping wardrobes, drawers, and school uniforms organised, and ensuring clothing and school items are prepared in advance for the week ahead. The nanny will support and follow the children’s established daily routines, including school pick-ups, homework supervision, after-school activities, meal times, and evening wind-down routines.
The nanny will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking healthy, nutritious, and balanced meals for the children. This includes providing family-style meals, snacks, and school lunches that encourage independence, positive eating habits, and good table manners. The nanny should be confident in preparing fresh, wholesome food and accommodating any dietary requirements, allergies, or family preferences.
The role requires a proactive, organised, and nurturing individual who can promote structure, responsibility, and age-appropriate independence for school-aged children.
The Nanny will be expected to arrange various interesting development & educational activities for the children. Organizing weekly outings to the library and attending playdates and going to the park.
Fluent English is essential to assist with homework. Occasionally Babysitting may be required.
The ideal Candidate must be right fit, trustworthy, caring, interactive, fun & energetic and will enjoy working with that family. The Candidate must have qualifications, a minimum of 2 years’ experience, excellent references, up to date First Aid & Garda Vetting.
