Part-Time Nanny, Sandymount, Dublin 4

A warm and welcoming family based in Sandymount, Dublin 4 are looking for an experienced, caring and reliable nanny to join their family from August 2026. This is a two-day-per-week position, working Thursdays and Fridays, caring for three children aged 5 years, 3½ years and 14 months. Both parents work and are looking for a professional nanny who will provide a loving, safe and stimulating environment where their children can thrive. A driving licence is not required for this position.

The family are hoping to find a nanny who genuinely enjoys working with children of different ages and can confidently manage busy daily routines while making each day fun, engaging and nurturing. They would love someone who will become a valued part of their family and build a wonderful relationship with their children.

In addition to the children’s care, the family would appreciate a candidate who enjoys cooking and would be happy to prepare healthy, home-cooked meals for the family. The children’s wellbeing and happiness will always be the priority, with child-related duties forming the main focus of the role.

Duties Include

• Providing exceptional care for three children aged 5 years, 3½ years and 14 months.
• Creating a warm, loving and stimulating environment where the children feel happy and secure.
• Planning fun, educational and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
• Supporting the children’s daily routines, including meals, naps and playtime.
• School and preschool collections where required.
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children.
• Cooking nutritious family meals.
• Children’s laundry and keeping bedrooms, nursery and play areas clean and organised.
• Tidying up after meals and children’s activities.
• Encouraging outdoor play, creativity and independence.
• Maintaining excellent communication with the parents regarding the children’s day and development.
• Ensuring the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful nanny will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years’ professional nanny or childcare experience, including experience caring for babies and young children.
• Be warm, caring, patient and genuinely passionate about working with children.
• Be confident caring for children of different ages and stages of development.
• Be organised, proactive and able to use their own initiative.
• Enjoy planning engaging activities both indoors and outdoors.
• Enjoy cooking and be happy to prepare healthy family meals.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Hold an up-to-date Paediatric First Aid Certificate (or be willing to renew it).
• Be Garda Vetted
• Have excellent, checkable references.
• Be reliable, trustworthy and looking for a long-term position.
