JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking for an experienced and reliable Housekeeper to join a friendly family home in Castleknock, Dublin 15.
The family are looking for someone who enjoys creating a well-run, comfortable and welcoming home. This would suit an experienced Housekeeper who is happy to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the household, while working in a more relaxed family environment.
The ideal candidate will have a good eye for detail, take pride in their work and be able to organise their own time effectively. They should be proactive, trustworthy and comfortable working independently.
Duties will include:
- General cleaning and upkeep of the family home
- Dusting, hoovering, mopping and polishing
- Changing bed linen and making beds
- Household laundry and ironing
- Keeping wardrobes and bedrooms organised
- Grocery and household shopping
- Running occasional household errands
- Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
- Helping with general household organisation
- Preparing simple, healthy family meals if required
- Ensuring the home is comfortable, tidy and well presented
The role is primarily focused on looking after the family and their home.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous private-household or high-end housekeeping experience
- Excellent attention to detail
- A warm, friendly and discreet manner
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
- A flexible and helpful approach to family life
- Good laundry and ironing skills
- Confidence with simple cooking would be an advantage
- A full driving licence and access to a car would be preferred
This is a lovely opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper who would enjoy working in a family-oriented home, where the focus is on providing excellent day-to-day housekeeping and supporting the family.
Working hours and salary: To be discussed depending on the family’s requirements and the candidate’s experience.
