JOB DESCRIPTION
A lovely, busy family based in Waterford are seeking an experienced, caring and energetic Full-Time Nanny to care for their four young children: twins aged 4.5 years, another child aged 3 years and a baby aged 6 months.
The family requires some flexibility for overnight stays when the father is travelling for work, particularly on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights. The successful candidate should be comfortable staying overnight when required and providing care for the children as needed.
For a live-in candidate, the family can provide a private bedroom with bathroom facilities, along with a private living area for use in the evenings. A live-out arrangement can also be considered.
The Role
This is a childcare-focused position, with minimal housekeeping required. The successful candidate will be responsible for the children’s day-to-day care, development and wellbeing.
Typical nanny and nursery duties will include:
- Caring for and engaging with all three children throughout the day.
- Preparing healthy, nutritious and balanced meals and snacks.
- Planning and providing age-appropriate educational and developmental activities.
- Organising creative activities such as messy play, music, reading, arts and crafts and sensory play.
- Taking the children to parks, playgrounds, classes and other suitable activities.
- Managing the children’s daily routines, including meals, naps and general care.
- Children’s laundry and keeping their bedrooms and play areas clean and organised.
- Keeping the children’s kitchen and living areas tidy.
- Supporting the children’s development and encouraging their independence.
- Occasional babysitting may be required.
The role will involve supporting the children’s routines, including school or Montessori arrangements as applicable, while providing attentive care for the baby and the older children throughout the day.

- Fluent in English.
- A confident driver with their own car; alternatively, the family can provide a car for work-related use.
